The 38th Metro Manila Film Festival which was held in 2012 holds the record for having the highest earnings among the past years as it hits 767 million pesos.
In 2011, MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino announced the addition of the New Wave Section to widen the Scope of the Metro Manila Film Festival.
Requirements must be submitted before October to qualify for the screening of official entries for the MMFF this December. Finalists will also be chosen on the same month and shall be featured in selected cinemas from December 18-23, 2014.

Heavy Traffic: With the float parade and long line of screaming fans, expect heavy traffic on the day itself. Also, some roads might be closed which shall be used as the route of the parade. So, better look for an alternative route before leaving your homes.
Rent a DVD: If you are not a fan of the local movies, better stock up on DVDs and enjoy movies at home as movie theaters will not be featuring foreign movies for at least 2-3 weeks.
