Foods are one of the human necessities; it helps people to be strong and healthy. For some foods are not just a necessity it became their passion just like Filipino who loves to eat and have a talent on creating different dishes and because of that Filipino became well known.

FILIPINO FOOD STORY

Philippines had many visitors from different countries and each race leaves an influence in the Philippines and one of those influences is the food.

Each Filipino food has an influenced by other race that is why it is hard to know which of those foods the authentic Filipino cuisine is.  Though the foods came from other races, Filipinos make it their own by giving the food its own distinct taste and the process of cooking it.

WELL-KNOWN FILIPINO FOODS

Adobo

When talking about Filipino foods the first dish that you will think of is the Adobo. Adobo’s main ingredients are vinegar, soy sauce, garlic and pork or chicken. It is their choice if they want Pork Adobo or Chicken Adobo but some prefer it both so they come up with Chicken-Pork Adobo. It is popular with Filipino families because of its delicious taste, easy preparation and its low cost. You can even stock Adobo without putting it in the refrigerator.

Sinigang

Sinigang is also a favorite dish of the Filipino families. It is pork, fish or prawn stew that has a sour taste because of the fruits that being put in it like tamarind, kamias or guava. It has lots of vegetables like gabi, radish, kang-kong and okra.

Lechon

Lechon is usually eaten with a sauce. Lechon is a pig roasted in coal. It has a crispy, golden-brown skin and a tasty meat. Lechon is a popular Filipino food. It is often see in a special occasion like fiestas, birthdays and other get together.

La Loma Quezon City and Cebu is popular with their delicious Lechon.

FILIPINOS AND THE FOODS

The Filipinos can also show their creativity through foods because of their creativity they can come up with different recipes and they can put Filipino touch to a foreign cuisine. Foods can also represent each region in the Philippines because each region has its own kind of food that can only be seen in their place and each region has its own delicacies.
